IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR

The Holiday's are finally upon us! Tesoro has shifted from autumn to Christmas and we are so excited that the season is here! The shop is stocked with bottle brush trees, whimsical velvet Santas, holiday candles, home fragrances and beautiful keepsake ornaments. We will soon be carrying fresh holiday floral, greens and plants and we are taking custom wreath orders too!

On Sunday December 8th, Cornerstone Gardens is hosting the 9th Annual Lighting of the Snowmen! For more information on the event click here - Tesoro will be open from 10am to 7:30pm so come by for cider, holiday cheer and get a jump start on that shopping list!

A Tesoro Bride To Be :: Cecelia :: Final Tidbits

You guys....our wedding in ONE WEEK away. What?! How did that happen? Let me update you on our progress...

1. I've had an insane time getting my dress made via Etsy...it finally shipped last week and it's on schedule to arrive tomorrow...FIVE days before the wedding. Fingers-crossed the thing fits like a glove.

2. The shop and garden here at Tesoro are looking totally fab. Just wait.

3. My massive three foot pink heart balloons have arrived. Enough said.

4. Rings are here and marriage license is done.

5. Honeymoon plans are in the works! We're spending two nights at Villagio in Yountville and a few nights along the Mendocino coast. So excited!!

With one week left, everyone at Tesoro is joking about my "wedding brain" state of mind. It feels like there are still so many things to do, but I just received a bit of advice from a great couple who comes into the shop often (hi Cecilia!)...stop, enjoy and take it all in because it will be over in a flash...and that's my goal for the coming week. Can't wait for our family and friends to start arriving so we can get this celebration started!

Hi guys! Happy weekend!

I've always loved the color pink, but when I began working in the world of flowers that love only grew times infinity. Pink, blush, peach, coral....OMGeeeeee. So naturally our wedding color palette will be a cheerful mix of those very colors combined with ivory, hints of orange and g o l d. Yum. I still haven't decided on exactly what I'd like to carry down the aisle (if only you had heard me last wedding season) but I'm thinking effortless and feminine. Here's a little peek at what's inspiring me color-wise...

Hi Guys! I'm Cecelia (you may know me as Cece) and I've been a floral designer here at Tesoro for two and a half years. My fiance Jason and I have been together for ten years and we are very excited to announce that we're getting married this spring! We're so lucky and incredibly thankful that we have Paul and the team at Tesoro to help us plan our big day. In fact, our ceremony and reception will take place right here in the shop/garden at Cornerstone Sonoma! With exactly three months left until we say "I do"....(yikes!) things are really starting to fall into place and I'm thrilled to share our final planning process through this blog. Tesoro Flowers in December - A Message From Paul....

Dear Friends,

It's the holiday season and I wanted to take a moment and reflect on the past year. It has been a very busy and exciting one! We moved our shop from St. Helena after nearly 20 years to Cornerstone Sonoma. Although an enormous undertaking, the move has proven to be advantageous in many ways. We have found ourselves much more centrally located when it comes to our flower vendors and getting to market in San Francisco. The wedding industry here is also fantastic and we have been warmly embraced by many new lovely venues and expert planners. Our creative juices are flowing!! We also continue to maintain our wonderful connections and accounts in Napa which are so important to us. So in many ways it's opened us up and we are expanding and able to share our product with many more people. We love to see the familiar faces from St. Helena, Rutherford, Yountville and Napa but also are making new friends in Sonoma, Petaluma and Marin! How lucky we are!!

I hope to see you in the shop this holiday season and if not, then I'm confident we will see each other in the new year. Thanks so much to those of you who have stopped by on your way to Corte Madera or SF and to those of you who have made the trek just to see us! This is a beautiful area and I really appreciate your continued business and support. I truly love what I do and am so very blessed to be able to share it with all of you.

High Tea with a Twist

The Olive Festival returns to Cornerstone (in partnership with Olivus, Inc) on February 11! Begin your visit with a complimentary cup of Olivus antioxidant rich, olive leaf tea while you browse the six one-of a kind shops full of unexpected treasures.

Next, meet Chef Michael Quigley at the Grill and enjoy a delicious olive inspired menu, then hop on over for a docent led tour of the gardens! Finish off the day wine tasting and enjoying live music in the olive grove. Docent led Garden Tours at noon & 2pm.

In celebration of this event, Tesoro Flowers will be selling charming little potted olive topiaries! Come visit us and enjoy this wonderful community event!

Rainy Days

On rainy days we like to decorate! Christmas was packed away and Tesoro is now sparkling with wonderful new displays and early spring flowers! We're currently loving French Tulips, Hyacinth, flowering Quince branches, plump green succulents in pretty containers, brightly hued Bromeliads and tall, lush Cymbidium plants. Not only are rainy days great for decorating...they're even better for shopping! Come visit us in Sonoma!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is just under a month away! Will you go traditional with a dozen roses or will you go with a beautiful spring mix instead? We're totally excited about Valentine's Day and this year Tesoro is offering F R E E delivery on all Valentine floral orders throughout the Napa and Sonoma Valleys!
